Fundraisers for the Class of 2020:
Class of 2020
It is during our children's senior year that the class's fundraising efforts really amp up! Why, you ask? Because each year, parent volunteers from SHHS's Home & School Association plan the senior class's After Prom Celebration. This party takes place after the senior prom in the high school gym, and is designed to give them a safe After Prom experience, while also giving them an awesome night to always remember! It doesn't matter if they actually GO to the prom; ALL senior are invited to the After Prom. But in order to have a party that our kids actually WANT to go to, and can accommodate and entertain them for 4 hours, this event has a very big price tag! To keep the costs down and to make sure that everyone is able to attend, fundraising for each class starts as soon as they begin their freshman year. By the time they reach their senior year, our fundraising effort kicks into overdrive! While many fundraisers have already been held, many are still to come, and a few continue throughout the year. Please see below for ongoing and upcoming senior class fundraisers!
Krispy Kreme Donuts - Throughout the year, glazed Krispy Kreme donuts are available by the box of a dozen for only $10. Keep your eyes out as they are for sale at many school events. Kelly Caulfield (firstname.lastname@example.org) is in charge of this delicious fundraiser.
Clothing Drive - This year's drive will be a bit different. You are still welcome to come and drop off at the office or hold for our pick up day. We will have the truck come and pick up one day a month. This way you can drop off many bags and not have to drag them into the office. We will let you know the drop off day as soon as we have them scheduled. Attached HERE is what items they will take and what they will not. Any questions contact Maura Clark.
Scheduled Pickup Dates: Thursday, Oct. 24 - DROPOFF from 7-10:30am
Friday, Nov. 22 - DROPOFF from 7-9am
You are welcome to bring them to the 3rd floor office at the High School or bring them on Thursday, October 24th from 7:00-10:30 and drop off at the Shed behind Dr. Forwood's office behind the Middle School. The truck will be arriving around 11:00 to pick up everything. This way you don’t need to drag into the school just drive up and unload.
For Seniors Only!
Graduation Banners – If you are having a graduation party or you just want a sign for your lawn, you can order a Banner through the Class of 2020 Senior Celebration. Order now and take one thing off your to-do list! Click HERE for the banner form and you can drop off in the 3rd floor office in a box marked BANNERS.
Yearbook Baby Picture/Family Recognition Ads – Each year, the SHHS Yearbook committee sets aside pages for the senior class's family to include pictures and write a message to their graduating senior. You will not only create a lasting memory for your senior, and but also get to embarrass them at the same time! Win-win! Please fill out this online FORM in its entirety to submit your senior's baby photo and message for inclusion in the yearbook.
PLEASE NOTE: All ads will be designed/set up in accordance with this year's yearbook theme. The staff will not adjust your text, and we will contact you in the event that your message needs to be adjusted to meet space constraints.
After you have filled out this form, drop off or mail a check for the appropriate amount to the attention of REAGAN LATTARI at Strath Haven High School. Checks should be made payable to "SHHS ACTIVITIES - YEARBOOK".
DEADLINE: Winter Break
After Prom Direct Donation – Financial support for the After Prom traditionally is through fundraising activities, in combination with a $50.00 per student monetary contribution. If you haven't already done so, we ask that you pay this fee NOW, allowing the committee to begin purchasing prizes and book entertainment for the After Prom. For details and the Direct Donation form, stay tuned for more information. Questions? Contact Kelly Caulfield (email@example.com).
Senior Celebration - It is tradition for our graduating seniors to attend the Senior Celebration on the evening of graduation, on Friday, June 5. This event strives to provide an alcohol and drug-free environment where our students can come together with their fellow classmates. The event is held on the Spirit of Philadelphia where they enjoy music, light bites, games, and prizes. This is the last school event in which the students can all be together before heading off to summer break and, ultimately, their post-high school endeavors.
Times: Students must arrive at the Brookhaven side of SHHS no later than 10:45pm to board the buses. Students will return to the same location between 2:30-3:00am.
Cost: The cost for the event is $105. If you pay before February 14, 2020, your child is automatically entered to win a free cruise.
Information & Permission Slip: Download THIS document for the official "Senior Cruise" letter and permission slip.
