Fundraisers for the Class of 2020:
It is during our children's senior year that the class's fundraising efforts really amp up! Why, you ask? Because each year, parent volunteers from SHHS's Home & School Association plan the senior class's After Prom Celebration. This party takes place after the senior prom in the high school gym, and is designed to give them a safe After Prom experience, while also giving them an awesome night to always remember! It doesn't matter if they actually GO to the prom; ALL senior are invited to the After Prom. But in order to have a party that our kids actually WANT to go to, and can accommodate and entertain them for 4 hours, this event has a very big price tag! To keep the costs down and to make sure that everyone is able to attend, fundraising for each class starts as soon as they begin their freshman year. By the time they reach their senior year, our fundraising effort kicks into overdrive! While many fundraisers have already been held, many are still to come, and a few continue throughout the year. Please see below for ongoing and upcoming senior class fundraisers!
Clothing Drive - Currently this is the only fundraiser we are still able to hold during this time. While everyone is cleaning out their homes please gather all items to donate. The Senior Celebration Inc. has a shed back behind the Middle School and the Spencer House/Dr. Forwoods office. We are doing very well with donations so please keep it coming. Since we lost the Lincoln Drive in April we are short one big fundraiser so any donations are greatly accepted. Attached HERE is what items they will take and what they will not. Any questions contact Maura Clark.
Pickups are ongoing throughout the rest of the school year. Please contact Maura Clark if you would like to drop off donations so that your donations can be moved into the locked shed, as well as to ensure that there is room in the shed to accept more donations. Thank you.
For Seniors Only!
Caps & Gowns – DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 24th! Seniors have been provided with information on how to order their caps and gowns for graduation. Please note that students should order the $33 cap & gown package through Jostens. Please use this link below to access the Strath Haven page.

After Prom Direct Donation – Financial support for the After Prom traditionally is through fundraising activities, in combination with a $50.00 per student monetary contribution. If you haven't already done so, we ask that you pay this fee NOW, allowing the committee to begin purchasing prizes and book entertainment for the After Prom. Download you Direct Donation form HERE. Questions? Contact Kelly Caulfield (firstname.lastname@example.org).
After Prom Permission Slip/Liability Waiver – All students attending the 2020 Senior After Prom must complete the attached Permission Slip/Liability Waiver. Download a copy of the waiver HERE.
Senior Celebration - It is tradition for our graduating seniors to attend the Senior Celebration on the evening of graduation, on Friday, June 5. This event strives to provide an alcohol and drug-free environment where our students can come together with their fellow classmates. The event is held on the Spirit of Philadelphia where they enjoy music, light bites, games, and prizes. This is the last school event in which the students can all be together before heading off to summer break and, ultimately, their post-high school endeavors.
Times: Students must arrive at the Brookhaven side of SHHS no later than 10:45pm to board the buses. Students will return to the same location between 2:30-3:00am.
Cost: The cost for the event is $105. If you pay before February 14, 2020, your child is automatically entered to win a free cruise.
